The Gil Nogueira Institute was born from the desire to transform a story of generosity into continuous impact in public schools. Since 2006, we have continued to write futures through reading.
The Gil Nogueira Institute exists to strengthen public schools through reading. We believe that understanding what one reads is one of the most important foundations for learning, self-esteem, and a child's autonomy.
That is why, for 20 years, we have built paths where books, mediation, monitoring, and recognition become part of the school routine.

A story to celebrar 20 anos of transformation
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Gil Nogueira Institute, “The Pages of Livrinho” was born from an invitation by Patrícia Nogueira to writer Léo Dicker and illustrator Luis Portilho. Together, they brought to life an adventure marked by mysteries, friendships, discoveries, and the courage to move forward.
Created to awaken the imagination and bring children and families closer to the world of books, the release also contributes to the continuity of reading encouragement actions carried out in public schools in Minas Gerais. A celebration of the journey built so far and of the stories that may yet gain new pages.
